- All seam allowances are ¼”.
Steps:
- Layout (5) 2 ¼ X 6 rectangle to make a strip set from top to bottom labeled A-E.

- To make a strip set, stitch (1) 2¼” X 6” Fabric A strip to (1) 2¼” X 6” Fabric B, RST. Stitch Fabric B strip to (1) 2¼” X 6” Fabric C strip, RST. Stitch Fabric C strip to (1) 2¼” X 6” Fabric D strip, RST. Stitch Fabric D strip to (1) 2¼” X 6” Fabric E strip, RST. Press all seams in the same direction.

- Using the Christmas tree template, trace the Christmas tree onto the front side of the strip set using an erasable fabric marker.

- With (1) 6” X 9” rectangle, place the right side facing down. Layer it with (1) 6” X 9” batting rectangle and (1) strip set, right side facing up to make a mini quilt sandwich. Pin in place.

- Stitch directly on the traced Christmas tree lines.

- Using pinking shears, cut ¼” from the seam line.

- Repeat steps 1-6, (4) times to complete a total of 5 Christmas trees.
- Evenly lay the Christmas trees along the ribbon. Stitch Christmas trees to the ribbon. Optional: Hand stitch star buttons to the trees.
