Lessons from the Sewing Room Series 🧵 Thread Thre Lessons from the Sewing Room Series 🧵
Thread

Thread holds everything together — in our sewing and in our lives. God’s presence weaves through every season, even when we can’t see the full design or understand how the pieces will come together.
“He holds all things together.” — Colossians 1:17

🧵What is thread?
Thread is a long, thin strand made by twisting fibers together for strength. It’s rarely the star of the quilt, but without it, nothing holds. Every seam, every block, every layer depends on it.

✨Thread tips for quilting
• A quality 50 wt cotton thread is a solid choice for most piecing and quilting
• Neutral colors blend well and let the fabric take center stage
• Good thread matters — it reduces lint, improves stitch quality, and lasts longer

Reflection:
Where in your life are you being asked to trust God to hold things together, even when you can’t yet see how the pieces will connect?

January Round-Up (a few days late) 🤍 As I review m January Round-Up (a few days late) 🤍
As I review my goals for 2026, I’m grateful for a slow, meaningful start. I stitched 31 hearts and prayed over each one, and made 31 nine-patch blocks using an old dress shirt and treasured scraps.
Those scraps are such sweet reminders of long-ago projects — and that chicken… I just love it 🐔
The History Repeats Itself Quilt Series is in full swing, and it’s not too late to join in. Link in Bio.
If you have any prayer concerns, feel free to DM me. I’ll be stitching and praying my way through February ✨
